Adam Gropman

Owner / Head Writer Adam Gropman has been a professional standup comedian and comedy writer for fifteen years. As a Los Angeles- based comedian he has performed at 100+ clubs throughout the country and been a performer at the NY Underground, Chicago, San Diego and Boston comedy festivals, as well as the Seattle International Comedy Competition and the Las Vegas-based World Series of Comedy.

 

As a comedy writer Adam has written extensive material for top comedians seen on ABC, NBC, CBS, Comedy Central and HBO, and he wrote a TV special for one of the top comedians in Scandinavia. Adam has written material for talk shows on E!, HBO and for the syndicated show 'Comics Unleashed'.

 

As a filmmaker Adam's short films have taken him to the Montreal Just for Laughs, Aspen HBO Comedy Arts and Idyllwild Film Festival, the latter of which bestowed upon him several Best Of awards for his short Spicy Nose.

 

Adam's jokes have been published in Judy Brown's Joke Soup / Joke Stew compilation books of the “funniest jokes by the best comedians” and jokes of his used in the Frank 'n' Funny line of greeting cards had him nominated for a Louie Award. Adam's story of summer camp misery was published in the Simon & Schuster book Mortified and he has written numerous pieces for the LA Weekly, OC Register, MetroMix LA and NY Times.
